Company Profile
EAS are leading-edge innovators in the design and manufacture of factory automation solutions and have been serving the injection moulding, metal stamping and related industries for more than 20 years. In fact, the firm’s origins go back as far as the 1920s when Enerpac – the world leader in general purpose high-force power tools – was formed in the USA. During the 1990s, with the growing need for state-of-the-art technology in single minute exchange of die (SMED) solutions, three experienced, long serving senior Enerpac executives; Harm Nijzink, Hero Marggrander and Cliff Drake, knew that they had an in-depth understanding of what the production industry needed in terms of time reducing product ideas and value added manufacturing and service capabilities. To give better focus to this market, they purchased the Automation Systems Division from Enerpac in 2001 to form EAS, and followed it later with the acquisition of Pressmag “know-how” from Walker Braillon in 2005 – the French originators of the electro magnet – to optimize the existing range of EAS products, systems and services.
EAS offers complete single-source system solutions that feature fully automated functions for the clamping and release of moulds, plus the associated connector arrays necessary for mould heating and cooling systems. Designed and built for easy installation on existing, as well as on new, original equipment, EAS system solutions include ; quick mould change and quick die change (QMC) systems for the plastic injection moulding industry ; quick die change (QDC) systems for metal stamping applications; magnetic clamping systems (MCS) for injection moulds and dies ; as well as mono couplers and manual and automatic multi coupler systems for general industry use. Also included are magnetic lifters, mould and die rotation units, die splitters, plus a multitude of other tool handling and storage equipment.
EAS manufacturing, engineering and research & development operations are concentrated in the Netherlands, France and China. A truly global enterprise, the company has a large sales and service organization in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Denmark, Germany, Austria, France, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean and China. Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Greece, Turkey, Korea, India, South Africa, New Zealand, Brazil, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia are served by an extensive network of dedicated partner companies and their local distributors.
EAS system solutions are sold directly to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), specialized tool distributors, and end users. Clients include AEG, Plastal, Sulo, Merten, Faurecia, Braun, Cadence, Johnson Controls, Toyota, Visteon, Peguform, Great Wall Automotive, BYD and VW, as well as Engel, Krauss-Maffei, Negri Bossi, Haitian, Demag, Husky, Milacron, Arburg, Battenfeld, Aida, Helmerding, Toshiba, Klockner-Windsor and many more. For these and other companies, EAS system solutions improve machine productivity and reduce unproductive equipment downtime – at the same time increasing application flexibility and operator safety, whilst reducing inventory expenses that result in lower manufacturing costs.
