Metal stamping applications using the process of vertical pressing have been relying on die lifters since early days. In many cases, these die lifters are either spring loaded or hydraulic power operated – making it relatively easy and simple to move dies in and out of the press. And now, with increasing demand from workshops equipped with compressed air installations, EASchangesystems launches a full range of very cost-effective air-operated die lifters.
How does it work…

The operating principle of air-operated die lifters from EASchangesystems is relatively simple. The aluminum roller bar is lifted by means of compressed air that’s fed through a supply hose located beneath the aluminum bar. When air is applied to the system, the bar raises and the die can be moved in and out of the press. Releasing air lowers the roller bar and the die sits securely in place on the press table.

With compressed air readily available in many workshops, using this power source to operate die lifters is in many cases an economic alternative solution when compared to hydraulic force. In addition, contrary to fixed die lifter installations, light-weight aluminum construction of air-operated die lifters from EASchangesystems allows that the units can easily be moved between presses and applications.

Available in three standard models, air-operated die lifters from EASchangesystems are suitable for metric DIN 650 T-slot sizes 22, 28 and 36 mm. Very solidly built with large rollers to withstand even the heaviest of load shocks when the die arrives at the loader bar, each unit is delivered with its own manifold that includes a manually operated open/close air valve and a quick-connect air coupler.

With the addition of an optional Air Pressure Intensifier, the die lifter’s force can safely be tripled from the commonly used 6 bar compressed air pressure to 18 bar.
