ANNOUNCEMENT

EAS Manufacturing Facility in China now Fully Operational

Wujiang , China – EAS Europe B.V, the global leader and innovator in leading-edge factory automation solutions for the injection moulding, metal stamping and related industries, today announced that their new manufacturing facility in the Gienkee Plas Industrial Park of the economic development zone in Wujiang is now fully operational.

The new EAS facility in Wujiang is conveniently located about one hour’s drive from Shanghai and has a floor space of some 1000 square meters. Fully equipped with the latest manufacturing machinery and tools, 14 employees in technical, sales and management functions currently work there and it is expected for this number to grow as demand for EAS solutions increases.

EAS originally came to China in early 2007 when EAS Gienkee Mold & Die Change Systems Co. Ltd. was formed between EAS Holding B.V. of Renswoude, The Netherlands, and Gienkee in Shanghai. Gienkee offers Western companies with ties to the plastics manufacturing industries the possibility to enter the enormous Asian market through joint ventures.

EAS decided to come to China to support the growing Asia region. It provides faster response and quick turnaround for local users to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The operation will support sales and customer support in China, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Taiwan and Japan… but also North America and some European countries.

Our presence here and the set-up at this new plant give us the possibility to best serve our customer – helping them to reduce time and costs and to be competitive in their markets, wherever they may be.” stated Harm Nijzink, CEO in charge of running the EAS business worldwide, at the inaugural ceremony that took place December 8th, 2008.
